My name is Sara Ward, and I’m a proud 20-year military retiree. Beyond the uniform, I also bring the perspective of a military spouse. I understand what it feels like to be new to the military: the uncertainty, the constant change, and the need to find your footing quickly. I understand the transition and the mix of emotions such as relief, fear, grief, and determination that comes with leaving a lifestyle that shaped you.
My husband, a fellow veteran, is what brought me to Clarksville. Together, we chose to plant our roots here and build a life we can truly call home. We have an amazing son, a beautiful granddaughter, and two dogs, Pistol and Gunner. We are enjoying life to the fullest.

During our initial meeting, I gather key information to understand your and your family’s unique needs and goals. My purpose is to create a clear, systematic plan that supports everyone involved and help move you forward in the most effective way possible. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Structural Family Therapy, selecting the approach that best fits the situation at hand. While every family is different, the focus remains the same: you and your family come first. I believe the right path is one that feels realistic, supportive, and meets all the goals you have.
Most importantly, I work with you to ensure that you feel safe, seen, and heard. Therapy should not feel like being judged or misunderstood; it should feel like a safe place where your concerns are taken seriously and progress is possible. I look forward to working with you in your healing journey.
