My name is Jenny Hudson. I grew up in Michigan but transplanted here to Tennessee in 2017. I've always been interested in psychology and understanding why people think and feel the way they do. It gives me a lot of fulfillment to be able to help my clients overcome their challenges and come out on the other side with a stronger and healthier identity and mindset. I have had to overcome a lot of challenges in my own life and I'd like to think this helps me to relate and empathize with the struggles of others. I am passionate about working with teens, adults, couples and families from many different backgrounds and life experiences. When I'm not working, I'm probably hitting the pool, playing my guitar, getting out in nature or listening to the latest podcast I've discovered.

I strive to create a space where you feel safe and accepted enough to explore and challenge your beliefs about yourself, others, and the world around you. I form a collaborative relationship with each client, respecting their autonomy and working together to find the path to their personal or relational breakthrough. I take the time to care for each client with personalized treatment planning, preparation before sessions, and research into additional treatment approaches when needed. I am a goal-oriented therapist: I like to have a plan for your therapy process, while also being flexible to meet the needs that come up during each session. My main treatment approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but I also draw from a number of other methods including Gottman-informed (for couples), art and play techniques (for teens), faith-based (for clients wishing to integrate their faith into their therapy), assertiveness and boundary training, and mindfulness practices. My desire is that you complete the therapy process emotionally healthier and more equipped to face your challenges, pursue your goals, and engage in fulfilling relationships. I look forward to partnering with you in therapy to help you reach your goals!
